Hi, I‘m Paula and I am passionate about making positive change in the world.
I’ve been working in the nonprofit field for over 17 years and strive to help nonprofits be greater – at fundraising, at communicating, at organizational effectiveness, and most importantly at creating change in our communities.
I started my training at the renowned Indiana University School of Philanthropy’s Fundraising School including “Principles and Techniques of Fundraising” in 2003 and “Developing an Effective Major Donor Campaign” in 2005. Since then I have continued my education and learning in all areas of nonprofit development, completing hundreds of hours of seminars, workshops, webinars, and conferences.
In my career as a Development and Marketing Director, I achieved significant results for the social service agency I worked for (Adolescent Counseling Services):
- 37% increase in overall fundraising revenue (over $200,000);
- Transformed their fundraiser into a signature annual event, increasing revenue by 205% ($38,000 to $115,000); and
- Increased their fall direct mail revenue by 58% ($26,000 to $42,000).
In addition, I have raised over $8.5 million in revenue from government, corporate, and foundation grants for organizations in a variety of sectors, including social services, health, environment, education, and social justice.
I have the unique perspective of having been in all the roles surrounding nonprofits (staff, board member, volunteer, client, consultant, and funder). I bring a global view to everything I do, knowing that any planning must be grounded in what is feasible for the agency and that development decisions must be tied to long-term sustainability.
I provide my clients with practical and strategic guidance to help improve fundraising results, program outcomes, and organizational effectiveness. Through Greater Nonprofits I offer coaching, training and consulting services and would love to work with you. Read what others have to say about working with me or contact me today.
